Looking for Point of Entry Legionella water treatment solutions? Click Here
CSIDefender® Copper–silver ionization is a Legionella potable water treatment technology used for Legionella growth control and prevention. Larger commercial copper-silver ionization units such as CSIDefender® can be used for Legionella water treatment in either potable hot water distribution networks or point of entry applications. Legionella is a bacterium known to cause Legionnaires’ disease, a preventable form of severe pneumonia. Copper-silver ionization is recognized by the CDC, EPA and WHO. CSIDefender® is also commonly specified by consultant engineers for new construction projects and retrofits in existing facilities. C-ETL-UL, CSA, CE and NSF/ANSI61 on all wetted components.

1 – The number of Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Zone (i.e. separate hot water makers) in one mechanical room. Some mechanical rooms might have more than one (1) separate DHW Zone in proximity to each other and serve completely separate areas of a facility. If this is the case, you will require a “Multi-Zone” CSIDefender® copper silver ionization solution with the model number that includes the letter “M”.
2 – The approximate number of healthcare or hotel beds in your facility for each of the DHW Zones (Hot water Makers) you have.
3 – Average Domestic Hot Water Load (Water Usage) in GPD (Gallons US per day) for each of the zones identified in your facility.
